NASA is working on a very cool project right now. They call it NASA Sustainability Base (those fancy science words again!). Shortly speaking it is an eco friendly building with zero energy consumption from outside. The idea is to build a super smart building which has everything needed for life in it. This project addresses two important issues. First, it will help to develop technologies required to fight the global warming and second — it is a test playground for a future Moon base! It is a good idea to test stuff before going in a real battle. Watch this video — it does sound like advertisement (good NASA works hard for the planet’s bright future), but it it awesome quality and has some stunning pictures of Earth from space (did I tell you that I like astronomy pictures?)
Unfortunately they do not say when it will be complete, so let’s hope they’re not bluffing and doing some actual work. I wouldn’t mind to live in one of those, I am all for solar panels on every roof (saves money and Earth, so why not?). What do you think about global warming? What are you doing about it?
